Hybrid classes Paladin, Shaman, Druid should be able to solo him lvl Other classes will want to have a healer handy. Abilities noticed during the fight were a stun at which point he turns and attacks the second person on the agro list. Luzran spawns at "The Bleeding Ziggurat" aprox. Resummoned VW after the sac, ran around a bit until he got aggro then slowly added dots, and SB to finish. Also had to pop a healthstone, but no big deal once the second VW came up. Comment by rinion Solo'd this on my 20 mage, Lurzan: got hit by the knockback once, just run forward and rank 1 frostbolt him, bid didnt have to pot at all. Knucklerot: No knockback, but has a ranged poison with a cast time, makes it easier to kite, but you might need a healing pot.
You can stand on the broken path between the Ziggurats and kite them down it, there's no mobs at all. Frost spec, with 1 point in Frostbite, procced once. Comment by yobo This quest is soloable at lvl 13 if you are a hunter.
Pop off arcane with serpent sting then con shot. Take off towards the town using the strafe keys shooting Arcane shots and con shot putting them on CD. Do not use lvl 1 spells.. Your pet, sting and arcane is enough to get him down. Kite him along this path. It is the best time to kite. By the time you make it to the town his HP will be down enough get credit when the guards drop him. Also be aware that when you get him to town The guards dont get aggro at first and will be coming after you until they do.
Reiterate dont use level 1 spells.. He despawned as soon as he got to the first guard. Must have been fixed with 2. Comment by I was a lvl 15 and I had a buddy that was a lvl 13 that had the quest, too.

Went down to Lurzan's spawn point, the western Ziggurat, and waited, he spawned but I didn't engage him until he came down to the broken road that goes across the Dead Scar, well I popped Agony and Corruption, and made a beeline for Tranquillien, making sure to keep agony and corruption up all the time.
He only punted me twice durning the run, it never hurt me just bumped me ahead which was good. When he spawned I done the same thing, Agony and Corruption all the way back to Tranquillien, sacked the VW when I got to town, wanded some and he was dead. When I first tried this, I got Luzran to town but I went to close to the edge of the cliff where the Bathandler is, lol, and Luzran bumped me off the cliff and I died.
So be careful of that if you do the same kite strategy. All-in-all, it was pretty fun. Just make sure to slow him to keep him away from you and turn off your pets auto-growl and it should be easy. Comment by CaptainColon For anyone else who's curious, just tried knucklerot at 18 as a prot pally and I'm pretty sure I had the best possible combination of things going in my favor bonfire's blessing plus ret aura plus two god damn crit judgements of righteousness with crusader judged.
Solo'd them both on my 17 hunter after clearing areas first, even without cheating on Knucklerot. Just clear out an area with in the dead scar and kite with conc shot and wing clip; even if you fail you can usually get away, one other person and you'll only die if you're both silly.
Luz can also be kited in the dead scar or around it, but be aware that they both seem to aggro anything undead near them when you pull. Kite Luzran on the west bank of the Dead Scar.
Here is a map showing the path I used to kite. How to kite: 1. Nuke with Frostbolt 2. Repeat If you're spec'd for Frostbite every Mage should be at this level , your frostbolts will occassionally root them. If this is the case, unload Frostbolts into them before continuing to kite. Use Icy Veins when they get rooted to shoot off an extra 1 or 2 Frostbolts. Tips: Always look in the direction you're kiting so you can navigate around mobs.
The only one you really need to do this for is Luzran, as the path you'll kite for Knucklerot is the road leading to Tranquillien. If you have some Anti-Venoms, use them. Thanks and goodluck! Rathiel is a Forsaken across the road from the poster, down the hill from the 'temple' with Dame Auriferous.

They're pretty weak as far as abominations go. But try to fight them up against something. At least one of them has a pretty killer knockback attack.
